Pitch your tent in unspoilt bushland near to Birdie Beach. It’s a popular campground, with walking, fishing, whale watching and surfing opportunities nearby.     

This campground has gated access. Please check the park open hours as entry/exit will not be possible after closure.

Spring/summer open hours

Munmorah State Conservation Area is open 5.30am–9pm, from the start of the NSW school holiday period in September (Friday) until the last day of the NSW autumn school holidays.

Autumn/winter open hours

Munmorah State Conservation Area is open 5.30am–7pm, from 1 May until the day before the start of the NSW September school holidays (Thursday).

After hours emergency entry/exit

A private security firm provides an after hours service for emergencies only. This does not include late arrivals. Call (02) 4960 6800 for emergencies. Fees apply and are payable at the time of call out.

Please Note

  •     Check in after 12pm. Check out before 12pm.
  •     Sites are marked, unpowered and suitable for up to 6 people.
  •     The showers at this campground are cold showers
  •     The northern end of Birdie Beach is a designated nude bathing area
  •     The best mobile reception is next to the amenities block

Nice campground, sites level, facilities functional and clean, easy walk to beach. Happy campers of all ages enjoying being out and about. Would recommend.
