24 hr time limit applies, nil charge. Located opposite the now closed Great Cobar Mine which is at the intersection of Barrier Highway and Kidman Way. It is a large gravel parking area with limited shade. Here you will find toilets with disabled access, picnic tables, BBQ's and dogs are permitted.

Good area close to town. Can be a bit noisy.

Rest area is close to Information centre and the waste water dump site. Also has large garbage bins.

This is a good rest area with toilets and sheltered tables etc. it has access from two highways so can be busy. If overnighting best to camp on the gravel areas as the bitumen is also used by large trucks for short stops. The much photographed Cobar mine sign is behind the rest area.
