Cygnet Holiday Park

Caravan Park - Tasmania

Cygnet Holiday Park offers camping facilities at Cygnet, 66 kilometres south of Hobart.

An ideal location to make your base so as to explore the many attractions of the picturesque Huon Valley, and nearby Bruny Island. The Cygnet area has a number of wineries, potters, wood craftsmen, craft and antique shops and tea rooms and is close to beautiful scenery, mountains, rivers, forests and caves.

The Cygnet Holiday Park is situated in a rural setting with 20 excellent camp sites and 14 powered sites. It has a well maintained amenities block, camp kitchen and a creek with platypus running through the property.

This picturesque waterfront town hosts a superb annual folk festival in the second week of January. The festival attracts thousands of visitors so you need to book early.

Weekly rates are available for the campsites and powered sites.

Old facilities yes, but if you have self contained MH or Caravan it doesn't matter. Friendly caretaker. Maybe busy (noisy?) when fruit pickers are staying. TV reception is good. Our MH is 7.44m in length.

Very run down small ablution block. Sites poorly defined which can lead to problems. One resident playing loud music until around 9pm nightly with no apparent management control. A lot of sweet smoke hanging about with the fruit pickers. ok for very short stay if nowhere else available.

The park that the council forgot or don't care. Amenities are old and would be almost impossible to renovate without knocking down. Sites, both powered and unpowered are small, unkept without any redeeming features. TV reception in the hollow is non existent. The park however is handy to the town and directly over the road from a pub. $30 for a powered site is way too much for this standard of park. I doubt that big rigs could fit into any powered sites.
