This free camping area has a maximum stay of 72 hours. There is small fee for power i.e. $2 for 12 hours via a coin operated system. It is large, grassy and plenty of shade is available if desired. There is a children's playground for the little ones as well.
Here you will find toilets, water, BBQ's and dogs are permitted. The locals are friendly and love visitors in their town.
Agree with Lorraine. Excellent meals in bowling club next door and The London Hotel. No dump point.

Great spot. Very close to rail line but only one train came through in the early hours which was relatively quiet. Unfortunately cafe closed till 10th January. Well stocked supermarket. The London Pub, which is a short walk across the railway line, is a must for drinks and a meal. Doesn't look much from outside but was neat and very clean inside. Great friendly atmosphere from locals and staff. Meals were extremely good.

As others have said, great site well positioned in the town. Seems to be la lot of work in progress when I was there with lots of grading work going on. They may be expanding it further.

This town could teach many others how to set up a great campsite. This site is on hard stand gravel there are 4 power outlets which you pay $2 for 12 hours of power. It is beside a lovely park which has amenities BBQ shelter playground, lots of nice trees. It is across the road from the PUB, IGA supermarket and some smaller shops. Everyone is friendly and I will come here again. I would imagine power would be at a premium in peak time but still plenty of un-powered sites available, if no powered ones. This is a credit to the town - well done.

What an awesome camp site. $2 for 12 hours power. Right in the centre of town, a short walk to the London Hotel for a fabulous feed. Next to railway line and it is the time of year for wheat to be on the move. Toilets are clean. Park is lovely. Thank you so much Ardlethan.

A great option when traveling East West North or South, the Newell is in good condition, and Hay Nerandra West Wyalong, is much more interesting than WW Goolgowie Hay..
Well done Ardlethan, we will visit you again.

Great stopover - power $2 for 12 hours - coin in slot. Shops are just across the park - so handy to everything. Only had one train go through all night when I was there.
