Caroline Pool Camping Area

This is a picnic and bush walking place set amongst cool shady trees and wide sandy creek banks.

Caroline Pool is known as Wimirri in the Jaru language. Older residents fondly remember Caroline Pool as the place where families would go on the weekend to swim and play sport on the river sand. It was also an important water source in the days of the early gold rush.

Stays are available for up to 24 hours and includes access to an Eco toilet and rubbish bin.

Access to Caroline Pool is on unsealed road which can become corrugated.
