Daley's Clearing Campground - Belanglo State Forest

Big open area in pine forest. Level sites at a bit of a premium. Best spot down on edge of dam but nowhere too far out of the way. Toilets okay reasonable condition drop. Popular spot for trail bike riders obviously so weekends, holidays could be busy (and noisy). Good overnighter in striking distance (2 hours) of Sydney, but it,s a working forest and closed sometimes (eg December 1-22 in 2017). Check with NSW Forests.

This is a quiet stop about 5 km from the Hume Highway (M31). Left turn into Belangalo Road if heading north. Turn right into Belangalo Road if heading south. There is a turning lane on the highway from the right lane but it comes up quickly so be ready for it. The road in is gravel but in good condition & ok for 2WD in dry weather. Follow the road for about 3 - 4 km until you reach Dalys Road (about 5th road on the right) turn right here & travel about 1 km to the bend in the road. This is where the campsite is. The campsite is quite large & suitable for large rigs. Plenty of grass to pull up on mostly level. Full sun for solar & you can park under trees if you want the shade. There is one drop toilet fairly new & in excellent condition. No water available. This is a beautiful place to stay quiet & clean. Apparently it gets busy with trail bikes on the weekends so be mindful of that if planning to stay here. Two other vans here.

We came here mid week and there were only 2 other vehicles here. It’s a nice free camp with easy access. The roads in are unsealed but don’t require off-road equipment to access. We had a great stay.
