Please note:  this is 4WD access only with tents, swags, offroad camper trailers.  Turn off Old Jim Road at GPS -13.048028, 132.320452 and follow the unsealed road for approx 28km's until you reach the campsite.  It is approx 2km's before Bucket Billabong.

This free bush camping area has no toilet facilities.  Accessible in dry weather only.

Alcohol is permitted.
Please bring your own drinking water as it is not available at this site.


A popular billabong with local fishers and those who prefer a more secluded bush camping experience.

The turn off to Alligator Billabong is 2 km from Aurora Kakadu Resort where a 22 km 4WD track takes you through savanna woodlands to the billabong.

There are no facilities or defined camping areas and most visitors find a shaded area to set up camp.

There are no formed boat ramps but there is one boat launching opportunity.
