This free camping area has a strict 72 hour maximum stay limit. It is for self contained motorhomes and caravans only. It is large, grassy and has plenty of options for you to choose from full sun or shady.
It has toilets, water, picnic tables, electric BBQ's, dump point and dogs are permitted here.
Great spot natural bush one side of the road with lots of tracks OFF LEASH dog park across the road beautiful mown grass heaps of space. Yes it's a bit dusty. Yes there is a bit of rubbish about including metal bed frames but really for a free park it's awesome. I'm expecting road noise tonight drowned out by the birds.
A nice large spot plenty grassy areas. Toilets & water & dump point here.
Only downside is the tents and rough looking vans amongst the trees, obviously been here a lot longer than the 72hr limit.
Good place to rest up. Low lying areas susceptible to flooding. Potable water available. 72 hour limit not being enforced at this time. Rangers check rego's each morning due to Covid-19 regulations.
A lovely spot, close to town with plenty of room for various size rigs. Reading the reviews we were looking forward to setting up for a few days although unfortunately on our arrival we immediately saw half a dozen or more tents scattered among the trees not far from the toilet block. It seems as though quite a few locals have taken to living at this park and make sure their presence is felt. We’d planned to use the BBQ but it is covered in empty bottles and seems like some of the locals consider it to be their primary source of cooking. Taxis come to ferry them about and those who drive generate lots of dust. Apart from that obvious deterrent the Grey Nomads don’t take much notice. It is a good spot to stop. As always, some caravan owners like to run their generators for hours on end which does disturb an otherwise quiet evening. We would stay again although next time we’ll know what we are driving into.
Great campsite close to town, shady and sunny options, toilets, BBQ area with seating and cover.
Great spot. 5 minute walk to the heart of town, which has a great range of restaurants and hotels. Walking/cycling paths along the river.
90% of people here do not comply with the self contained rule, but the whole are is clean, despite all the grey water. Might be why there is still some green lawn? Lots of tents. Amenities are in good condition. Easy access to the dump point and potable water.
Very quiet at night??. Off to explore the cycle paths.
