This is a large recreation ground by the St Patrick’s River that includes a camping area and picnic facilities. Mt Arthur forms a backdrop to the picnic ground that is a popular spot for tourists and local people for most seasons of the year.  It is large, grassy and offers plenty of shade.  They have a kiosk on site which sells takeaway food.  There is a children's playground and a tennis court for exercise.  

Here you will find toilets with disabled access, hot showers, water, laundry, BBQ's, fireplaces and dogs are permitted.

We stayed at this park recently. The grounds are well kept except for the entrance to the grounds were untidy. A couple of old caravans not lived in and a couple of old buses which spoilt the nice surrounding of the park. We did have a quiet stay.

A lovley quiet spot, plenty of shade and open spaces for solar. Nice clean tiolets and hot showers. And a platypus in the river came out at dusk.

We enjoyed a couple of night here. There is plenty of room so even if you can’t get a place by the river, you can park in the more open grass area. We were here on the school holidays without booking. They also have a paddock to the side for walking dogs off the lead.

This is a beautiful site for a break. Various grassy camp sites along the river or further removed from the river if you wish. There are showers and toilets and plenty of room to walk the dog. A delightful place to stay and well worth the drive out from Launceston. Wish we could have stayed longer.
