ess lagoon is a great place to spend some time. free camp for self contained vehicles up to 30 days. had a meal at the Albion hotel which was great. sadly not much happening in Casterton. so many businesses/ shops are closed. the town and surrounds are lovely to go driving around. needs a bit of tlc invested in the town

Very nice spot. Stayed 2 nights. Locals friendly and helpful. Nice bakery. Gas bottle refills at Casterton Agricultural Machinery Sales & Service in the Main Street. Footy Club meals available. No toilets or water.

Recently spent a couple of days here, still so beautiful, swans on the lagoon which seems to have a lack of water despite the amount of rain down here. Ground soft so need to watch where driving. The town needs support. Coffee shops are good.

This ia a seriously beautiful spot to stay, bird life, dogs being walked and friendly locals to talk to. Close to the showgrounds and dump point. Check out the Kelpie Centre. Pity some people spoil the lovely grass by making a fire. The water view from our window is so restful. No facilities here.
