Planet Earth Adventures Caravan Park is situated in the small township of Mt. Surprise in the Gulf Savannah Region. The park is the perfect spot to base yourself while you fossick for topaz at nearby O’Brien’s Creek (40klm) or while touring and exploring the gorges, volcanic lava tubes and all the geological wonders the area has to offer.

This pet friendly park offers powered and unpowered sites suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans, motorhomes and larger RV’s. Sites are set on green, grassy, manicured lawns with some shady sites available and a shaded area with a gas BBQ and tables. There are a good range of facilities including toilets, hot showers and disabled amenities and guests are free to wash their cars and caravans.

Enjoy a scrumptious meal at the parks onsite café and restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a variety of meals to choose from including, Full Roast Dinners, Chinese, Pizza and Fish & Chips. The park also offer fresh bakery bread and being the home of the famous Mt Surprise Pie, the mouth-watering pies are a must to try. If you need extra supplies, the Mt Surprise township has a small general store, service station, post office, police station, pub, gem dealer, cafe and rail station.

Friendly park owner, Russell, does a free snake show in the afternoons. He even allows guests to take a closer look at one of his snakes and even experience how to handle it. Russell not only talks about the snakes, he also tells you all about first aid for snake bites which is pretty important as there are a lot of snakes in this part of the world.
