Gins Leap Rest Area - NSW RVFT

Rest Area Overnight - New South Wales

Favourite

This free overnight rest area is situated at the spectacular Gins Leap.  It is named after a pair of young aboriginal lovers who jumped to their death after being told told they couldn't be together.  There are also gravesites here from settlers.  There is an information board here in regards to this.  Please check out the website link for more information of the history behind here.  It is a sealed bitumen circular one way rest area with grassy areas.  There is plenty of shade here.

Small and uneven ground Rest Area - not what I would call a good overnighter but for a small rig would be OK. It is an historical site with an information board and very old graves. It is at the base of Ginn's Leap, a picturesque rock formation with a story.

A small circular rest area over looked by the Gins Leap rock outcrop. There is a shelter with table and chairs and bins but no other facilities. There is some interesting history displayed on signs associated with the area. Suitable for small self contained vehicles but not much level ground.
