Newcastle Waters Rest Area

I’ve stopped over night here three times. Never had a problem, but I cannot comment on the toilets as I stayed at the southern end of the rest area. Only warning get there early as it is a long way to the next R.A. & Elliot is a dump & is just an ingenious community that sells fuel at high prices, though it livens up when alcohol is available. This rest area is quite popular, though it is very close the the north south road & it near the top of a grade, so freighters do make some noise at times, When I was there, there was no water.

Very busy place. Jagged the last spot of only about 20 at 2pm. Very unkept or visitors are very uncouth. And dont stop here unless you are self contained as the smell from the toilets is disgusting so make sure you also dont park near them either. Very close to highway noise not too bad as it gets later. Not sure what all the raves are about. Not recommended. Sorry. Just being honest. Needs Council attention.
