This free campground is located on the banks of the (mostly dry) Lake. However, the lake only has water in it when it floods from the Wimmera River.
Access is via the townships of Rainbow or Yaapeet on unsealed roads, depending on weather conditions.
Bookings: No booking is required. Camping is on a first in, first-served basis.
Campsites: All campsites are unpowered.
Facilities: Non-flush toilet and picnic tables are provided. Boats may be launched from the shore when the lake is full.
Water: Rain water is provided but may not always be available – supply your own drinking water.
The access into the campground is not suitable for 2WD's and in the wet it is impassable. 4WD's are recommended only for this campground.
