Eucla Motor Motel and Caravan Park

Caravan Park - Western Australia

The Eucla Motor Motel is situated along the Nullarbor Plain some 12 kilometres to the WA/SA border and beautifully positioned on the top of an escarpment with distant ocean views.

Have a look at the Eucla Museum near the restaurant with its historical exhibits showing what life was like in the area in the olden days. Take the road down the hill to The Old Telegraph Station ruins and walk through the sand dunes or 4WD to the spectacular coastal beach with its jetty ruins. Perhaps hire some golf clubs and play the nearby Eucla, Border Village and Mundrabilla Nullarbor Links golf holes.

The Eucla Motor Motel has a delightful restaurant, with take away food also available. The accommodation ranges from budget share facility rooms to standard and deluxe studio motel rooms.

A caravan park with camping facilities is also located adjacent to the motel.

Eucla is also a good place to refuel, as traditionally it offers the lowest petrol price along this entire stretch of the Eyre Highway.

Stayed 3 nights. Wonderful view but very run down and minimum quality food. I expect this is due to 2 years Covid rules, but no water in pool, no food to purchase other than choc bars & ice cream, expensive fuel ($2.60 litre) & buildings require painting. Busy spot now though.

Definitely a clean nice place to stay. We stayed in the Caravan Park out back of the Roadhouse area & didn’t hear any highway noise. Lovely views of the ocean through the trees. Note, $1 coin to have a shower with time limit of about 4 - 5 mins. No unpowered sites on offer, but at $25 / night, powered you can’t complain. Would recommend as stop over.

A nice neat park at the top of the escarpment overlooking the old Eucla stop and the Great Australian Bight. The services are clean, ablutions and laundry. $1 gets you min hot shower. There is NO water at Eucla. The road into and out of the park is a bit rough and could do with resurfacing or a good grade. Diesel is relatively cheap too.

Easy access with disabled shower & toilet facilities. Level sites with great sea aspects & trees on each powered site. So clean & fresh looking. Make sure you have $2 & 20c coins for washer & dryer.

Stayed here 2 weeks after border opening due to Covid. It has obviously had a significant effect on this business although the views remain. Laundry but no dryer, pool very empty & very limited stock on shelves. Old camp kitchen. Still, we persisted & hopefully it will return to former days.

We always drop in here to refuel when heading west, and to buy a sausage roll. Unfortunately they are short staffed and baking is not happening today. A great area to visit, may stay one day but not today.
