At the sign for Newman Rock and follow the unsealed track for approx 1km until you reach the free overnight rest area. It has picnic tables and fireplaces.

Really nice area, the sign on the road is missing where you turn in. Drive well in, rockpool is nice & sometimes kangaroos & emus. November, 2015.

Large area to choose a site from. Road in needs quite a bit of work since the rain. Nice walk to find the rock pools. Only saw some cattle. Very little road noise. Clean and tidy

This is one of the best kept secrets of the Eyre Highway so far no one has dumped rubbish there and there is plenty of room for both big and small rigs. There are no facilities other than rubbish bins but the scenery is magnificent. You can camp as close or as far from the highway as you feel comfortable.
