Wingan Inlet campground is set in a tall bloodwood forest on the western shore of tranquil Wingan Inlet. The campground is equipped with non-flush toilets, shared picnic facilities and fireplaces. This campground is accessed from the Princes Hwy via West Wingan Road, a 36km stretch of gravel road.
Access to the beach is either by boat through the inlet or via the Fly Cove Walking Track which commences in the campground. Strong currents can occur around the inlet mouth and along the ocean beach. Motorised boats can be used on the inlet but limits of 20 horse power motors and speeds of 8 km/hr (5 knots) apply over the entire inlet.
Advance bookings and payment are required year round.
Walks cover the magnificent sandy beaches, a tranquil fresh water lake, serene warm temperate rainforests and cascading rapids on the picturesque Wingan River.
This is not suitable for caravans or BIG rigs.
