Bulahdelah Lions Park - NSW RVFT

Free Camping - New South Wales

Due to drought conditions all public water supplies are disconnected. This will be lifted once conditions improve.

Warning: This place floods in heavy wet weather.  Make sure you are aware of the weather when staying here as it rises quickly!

This is a popular rest area is just off the Pacific Highway on the south side of Bulahdelah.  The park is maintained by Bulahdelah Lions Club who also has provided the BBQ and picnic shelters.

The park offers a day area with access to Myall River via a boat ramp and public wharf.

Overnight stays are permitted for fully self-contained recreational vehicles, for a maximum period of 72 hours.  Whilst there is no charge for camping overnight, the Lions Club has a donation box in place (next to the water tap), if you wish to leave a donation.

There are no public toilets at this site. However, there is one a short stroll across the bridge.

A great place to stop, but on this occasion it was overflowing and quite a few campers had to keep going. Nice flat areas close to the river easy access to fill RVs with water and plenty of garbage bins. Keep your dog on a lead as there are plenty around. Would recommend.

Very popular campsite right on the Myall River, on hard stand - best to reverse or front end (not sideways) in, so as to allow more campers - it is not a big site and due to recent flooding area has been cut back with bollards to protect the environment (and campers). There is a pleasant walk across the bridge to the main street, which has all you require including Butcher, Baker, (recommend the high top loaf) Chemist, Cafe & Pub etc. There are no amenities within the campgrounds so need to be self contained. There is a donation box so please contribute to support the volunteers who maintain this campground.

Fantastic peaceful spot with public toilets a short walk over the bridge. Over 20 vehicles on the night we stayed so maybe don’t be too late. Fresh water tap available with donation box nearby. Room for the dog to have a run also.

This is an excellent stop over which will accommodate any size rig. If people park with consideration quite a few will fit in. The Lions club maintains the area and would really appreciate all users providing a donation. There is a Big 4 being built across the river and it is imperative we do our bit to support the Lions and Bulahdelah, which is a great little town. Toilets are a short walk over the bridge. Please donate and please help keep the park tidy.

Beautiful spot, can get crowded and a little noisy as the pub is only across the river, Saturday night the pub has music till midnight, easy walk to shops. Donation boxes, please support with loose change.

Great little spot thank you Lions club. As newbies found it great for an overnight stay was able to stock up on some food had a beer at the pub. But people look after the place watched campers dropping grey water, not cleaning up after their dogs. And please give a donation

Please note: Due to water restrictions the water tap has been turned disconnected

Please put a donation in the box for both water and your stay.

Lions Park remains closed. I understand that it closed for COVID but council continues to keep it closed. Certainly today both entry and exit gates are locked.

Great stopover for a couple of days. Very welcoming little town. Bakery is a must, the pub does good meals and the IGA has everything we need. No water at present due to level 4 restrictions so there are very few backpackers coming through and staying. The donation box has been relocated and made like Fort Knox because some people stole it several times this year. The Big 4 across the river is not yet open although I do not anticipate any of the Lions Park patrons would stay there in any case. Totally different perspectives on a camping trip. Please donate and help keep the park clean.

This site is very popular. We had over 20 campers overnight ranging from backpackers in tents to a converted coach. Lovely setting on the river. You must be here early to get a spot and make sure you leave a donation in the boxes. The local Lions club maintains this site. Nearest toilets are 160m over the bridge. There are bbqs, picnic tables and fresh water for your tanks. Being so close to the river you cannot dump your grey water here. There is a dump point at the showground a few kms away
