Still closed but so so close to being ready. Looks like a great stopover. Not huge but certainly we’ll set up for the RV travellers. I could see a dump point and great new toilet block. Should be excellent. Only a few lights to install and it’ll be ready.

Greenpatch will be CLOSED between 1 November 2020 and 30 April 2021 due to the increased risk of flash The council no longer requires the COVID check in. The maximum length of stay is strictly 72 hours, after which a person must not return to the camping area to camp within 14 days of departure, Council regularly patrols the campground to ensure compliance. Facilities include a dump point, coin-operated hot showers, unpowered grassy sites with some trees. Caravans and motorhomes heading south need to go over the bridge (past the camp) then turn left onto the side road. This is due to 2.2m hight limitation if you turn off before the river

We passed by this Rest Area at 9.00am this morning 7th July. For a day use area,, it was very busy. A few Motorhomes and Caravans and lots of backpacker type vans, station wagons etc had stayed overnight. Would be a good place to stay if camping were permitted.

Everybody camps here, big rigs to tents, need to get here reasonably early as the best level sites get taken quickly.
