Haslam Campground

Private Campground - South Australia

Haslam is a quiet seaside town situated 45 kms north of Streaky Bay 2km south of the highway to Ceduna, which is a further 65km on.

It is becoming increasingly popular with those campers who just want to 'get away from it all'.  The small camping ground, about 100 metres from the jetty and foreshore is very popular.  Six unpowered sites are available for $5/day (honesty box system).  Campers can stay for up to 10 days, with good access to water, toilets (bring your own paper) and a wood barbeque.

Haslam has a good swimming beach and the jetty is the best in the district for squid and garfish, with crab, snook, and sometimes whiting also caught there.  There is a light on the jetty for night-time fishing.  Access to excellent offshore fishing is also available via a boat access area alongside the jetty. With tide out you can take a "million dollar" walk in either direction along the coast, so why not take a stroll?  The town also has a good set of tennis courts and a hitting wall so if you want to work off some energy take your racquet and have a hit with friends or on your own.
Beautiful quiet spot to relax before or after the great Nullarbor drive. $10 a night per campsite, no fires allowed anymore. Caught a few fish and squid off the jetty, recommended ??

Quiet good, but forget tennis rackets as court is overgrown. No shop whatsoever, so bring supplies and bait with you. Patchy internet. Good jetty and nice clear water. Recommended.

When we turned up in April 2017 there were over 20 vans here. Quite a popular site.

Lovely peaceful location in a small town. No good for boaties as very difficult to get boat to water due to rocks, weed and sand. Camping area has been increased. Toilets clean and water to fill up available.

We stayed here in 2011 on our way back from WA. The site is quite ok even if a bit uneven. The site was quite popular being close to the beach but the village has no facilities so be prepared with everything you need for you stay. The camp operates on an honesty box payment system.
