Binalong Rest Area

Rest Area Overnight - New South Wales

This large free overnight rest area is located next to the local swimming pool.  There are some lovely historic sites to see here while stretching your legs for a walk.  Here you will find toilets, water, picnic tables, BBQ's, fireplaces and dogs are permitted.

Great little spot. Nice historic town. Pub if you need it. clean toilets.

Handy site for travel from Sth Coast, but can be cold in winter (frost on our last visit md-June). Not a lot level area, but plenty of room and male / female toilets are getting very worn. But new unisexambulant toilet is very good. Signs that a total redevelopment of the toilet block is under way and that would be nice. Seems to be a little town that gets things done - eg terrific skate park they built at this site.

A free camp in a charming town good for an overnight stay. Located about 100 metres from the highway road noise was evident until late but wasnt too bad & didnt disturb our sleep overnight. Not many level sites & the grass was in need of mowing. The toilets were clean but shabby. We found the disabled toilet to be in much better condition. Potable water & bins are available here. Be sure to visit the township. Friendly people heaps of history & photogenic too. The town also boasts a motor museum & a glass blower. We would stay here again.

Turn right down Twynham Street as you approach from the east. Despite it being wet when we visited the area looks quite good for a stop over and the village is very historical
