This primitive camp ground is part of the Upper Clarence Primitive Campgrounds Project which means that it has been approved for camping and will be formalised in the future. Thus it will attracts fees in the future once improvements are made.
It is a large grassy area on the banks of the Nymboida River. Enjoy swimming, kayaking or fishing here. Currently, there are no facilities here. Please be self-contained, use a portable toilet and remove all rubbish.
For whatever reason Clarence Council has removed the toilet block!
The large body of water offers great recreational opportunities; swimming, canoe-ing, bathing (ie. with a block of soap!), and fishing (though some restrictions apply).
There are several large open flat sites for large rigs and many smaller sites with some shade.
Like many similar camps in the region, it is very popular at weekends.
The water from the Nymboida is clean, but ought be boiled before drinking.
Great spot on river numerous camp sites. Now has toilet block with 4 toilets. Quite road and peaceful surrounds. Would accommodate a large group.
