Corrimal Beach Tourist Park

Caravan Park - New South Wales

Favourite

At Corrimal Beach Tourist Park, you’re right on the edge of the beach, and close enough to make the most of all the city’s attractions.

Spend your morning by the sea, and in the afternoon check out Wollongong’s shops and museums or catch a show at the WIN Entertainment Centre or Illawarra Performing Arts Centre. The city has plenty of great cafes, bars and restaurants to enjoy as well. Just be sure to make some time to explore the Wollongong Harbour foreshore and shared pathway area known as the Blue Mile. It’s a favourite spot with the locals, and home to the historic award-winning North Beach Bathers Pavilion.

Guests of Corrimal Beach Tourist Park can choose from a range of new 1, 2 and 3 bedroom deluxe cabins. Many cabins come with a washing machine and dryer, reverse cycle air conditioning, spa, private BBQ and undercover verandahs with dramatic escarpment views. This tranquil 10 hectare park offers the perfect environment for the caravanner or camper with a choice of unpowered, powered and ensuite powered sites. You’ll also enjoy the use of clean amenities, laundry facilities, a camp kitchen, caravan dump point, children’s playground, a large BBQ and recreation area and free WiFi access.

Make sure you check out the recently opened Ebb and Tide – Café, Kiosk and Takeway on site, which offers a range of delicious breakfast and lunch options, a kids menu and homemade desserts.

A busy park, they told us at lunch time that we had the last site. Good location for the beach. Amenities block that I visited could use some extra TLC, but they were clean. Very nice BBQ areas and playground, not that we had a play (too many kids).

5 stars for facilities, check-in, etc. 1 star for the views. Although you're practically right on the beach, you're also surrounded by fence (even when there are dense trees between you and the sand). Maybe that sense of security is a plus for some though - generally I'm not really into big caravan parks. The powered ensuite is a great value ($55) for your own toilet and shower, along with water and electricity. But it's the furthest from the ocean. Midweek campsites are relatively empty, weekends they fill up.
