We stopped overnight around 26-06-2016. It is free but there is a sign telling us to see Bar staff before setting up. They gave us a photocopy of do's and don't and asked us to support the Hotel in some way. We saw a lot of people setting up without seeing the staff. The site is halfway up a busy hill and trucks coming down accelerate or brake and those going up change gears. We thought it was very noisy and the next day we were tired on the road. I dont think we would stay here again unless there was no option. It would not take much rain to cause bogging. The toilets were clean but we couldn't figure out where the night toilets were.

As a stop over it is ideal. The camping area is well organised and free! The toilet facilities are spotless and the bar staff friendly and helpful. You are adjacent to the Bruce Hwy. so expect some traffic noise but nothing intrusive.

What a great night we had here on 2nd state of origin night 2017, the pub was full and the meals were excellent 8 Nomads at our table and everyone commented on the quality of the meal.

We recently stayed and it was wet and boggy. The woman that runs the pub is very intimidating, expecting you to buy a meal. The pub is run down and even the furniture is old and in need of refurbishment , the place is old but there is no need for it to be dirty, can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Not somewhere where we would stay again..also the toilets are locked when the pub is shut!!!

Nice grassy sites, fairly level, adjacent to the hotel. Toilet available 24 hrs, no water, no power, no dump point, take your garbage with you (No bins). Trucks going past don't use vacuum brakes going downhill, nor do they need to change gears going up, it's not too noisy at all - late arrivals get to park closest to the nearby road. Meals are quite good, drinks reasonably priced.

A basic free camp, but all that you need, there is no power or water. The toilets are at the hotel and one, unisex toilet is open all hours. We had a meal at the hotel to support them and both meals we had were very disappointing. You have to be early and be prepared for backpackers to fill in any open areas.

Good free camp adjacent to the Hotel. Yes, there is traffic noise from the Bruce Highway. Must be self contained. Good quality Hotel meals reasonably priced.
