The Park is located 37km south of Hobart - just follow the signs from Hobart to Huonville travelling along the Southern Outlet and the Huon Highway. Upon arrival into Huonville, turn right at the roundabout onto Wilmot Road. Travel 1½km until you come to the Mountain River Bridge. The caravan park entrance is approximately 15 metres on the left, after the bridge.

Back in Huonville you will find a post office, banks, petrol stations, restaurants, cafes and a supermarket.

  • Kayaking & fishing in the Huon River.
  • Relax on the bank of Mountain River.
  • Farm activities and Tassie Devil feeding, daily at 4pm.

  • Walk through the apple orchards.
  • Experience the taste of vegetables straight from the garden.
  • Bike riding around the grounds.
  • Hand feed the chickens, sheep and ducks.
  • Watch Badge the working dog round up the sheep.
  • Relax by the campfire in the evening.

Modern amenities building with showers, toilets & laundry.

The common area has a pizza oven, BBQ, cooktop, microwave, large fridge, toaster, kettle, 2 sinks, picnic tables, benches with stools. There are 10 toilets, 8 hot showers, washing machines and dryers.

There is a dump point located within the park.

Dogs are welcome but are to be on-leash at all times.

In all my years of travelling I found this to be one of the best caravan parks that I have stayed in.

Most unfriendly manager to the point of down right rudeness. No refunds if you have to leave early eg. illness. Too many rules for a small park.

We stayed here over Christmas, yes it cost a little more $45 for a premium site by the river, but we had power, water, and a lovely large lush grass site. My husband fished for trout he could see in the river but didn't manage to catch one and I saw 3 separate platypus. So far this is the best site I have ever been on. From looks, the professional way in which it is run but the atmosphere is relaxed. If you have children, they enjoy the river and a Tassie devil feeding in the afternoon. They also see a cow milked and get to hold chickens. If you have a dog you will appreciate about an acre of ground set aside as an off leash area.

Excellent park. Welcoming and friendly owners/staff. Great sites, all set on level grassed sites. Tassie Devil feeding every afternoon, along with entertaining other farm animal display/talks. Showers cost $1 for 5 mins but were very clean. Great camp kitchen complete with pizza oven. Various BBQ’s located throughout the park, all kept clean. All in all, one of the best parks we have stayed in.
