This overnight rest area is located next to the Historical Museum on the highway. It is a large grass rest area with some shade.
Here you will find toilets, water, picnic tables, BBQ facilities. Dogs are allowed.

No camping sign near the museum. I don't think it was just because it had been raining it looks more permanent. The recreation ground is not far as an alternative.

Toilets and showers are clean and tidy. Dump point. Plenty of shade around powered sites. RV friendly town and CMCA. Very quiet. Lots of nomads and a central firepit for happy hour. Honesty box to pay......please be honest.
