At 5pm today we got into the last possible site.

Great spot for 2 days, no water or dump point but both available north at the music bowl

A great free stop almost on the doorstep of a major shopping centre. Green parkland at the rear with picnic tables.

Kershaw Gardens is a great spot to stop over while travelling through Rockhampton. Close to necessary shopping and conditions policed by local council. Great meal to be had at the Victoria Tavern, just a couple of k's away, all you can eat Brazilian BBQ, on Friday and Saturday nights. Beautiful feed

Was planning on spending a few days in Rockhampton in April 2020 but after closure of Kershaw Gardens will now just fuel up and keep going.

A dusty car park at the end of a delightful garden park. Far too many caravans and motorhomes jostling for limited space. Awnings out where the space was so limited. Needs a ranger present to limit the numbers and control the parking.

Kershaw Gardens is an excellent place to stop passing through Rockhampton. However this day, it was an appalling dust bowl. Far too many caravans in particular were crammed into the area. Many had their awnings out, claiming two spots. Noticed also that buckets were sitting under caravan waste outlets! I am afraid that the area must be in danger of closing due to crowding.

This area needs a serious overhaul, ie levelling and sites marked out, called in 18/9/22 and completely full, moved on to Bajool Pub.
