Worlds End Gorge Campground ( Burra Gorge )

Free Camping - South Australia

This free camping area is on the banks of the River.  It is grassy, large and open with plenty of shade.  It's a great spot to camp for a while.  There are some good 4WD tracks here as well.  Here you will find toilets, picnic tables, camp fires and dogs are allowed.

A cool wind blowing on this visit, very chilly across the valley. Good to be able to have a fire. New toilet blocks, composting style. A most beautiful location, so green and water in the creek. The old trees are the most photogenic we have seen. Possibly spring or autumn would be the more optimum time to visit here, it was very cold here last night even in a motorhome.

What a wonderful place to stayover, will definately come back for a longer visit. Lots of camping areas, fire pits and a few picnic tables. Rubbish bins are plentiful. Two levels for camping and some water holes. Very dry at the moment but rain will transform the area. No phone or tv reception. A beautiful location.

An extensive camping area alongside Burra Creek with numerous Red Gums and a lengthy Creekside walk.

We returned here for a longer stay and found the wisdom of camping on the higher areas. The forecast rain appeared this morning and turned one area into a river from the paddocks across the road. Some camper trailers had wet feet! Still a beautiful place to spend a few days with good facilities.
