There is a designated caravan park in Marree but the hotel does have a large area to camp – free of charge.
It is designed to provide campers who wish to access the hotel’s services with a place to stay that is close to the pub.
There’s hot showers and toilets available (gold coin donation). No need to book and its first in best dressed. No powered sites and the use of generators is not permitted. Bring your own drinking water or purchase 10ltr casks from the hotel.
The Marree Hotel is in superb condition and maintains the original 12 hotel rooms, but to cater for demand has recently added 42 motel style ensuite cabins. No outback adventure is complete without a stay at the Marree Hotel. Hosts, Phil and Maz Turner will make sure your visit is enjoyable and, when you leave, you will have fond memories of our classic outback accommodation, food and hospitality.
You can relax around the hotel swimming pool and beer garden; enjoy a cold beer at the classic bar or enjoy a meal in one of the hotels 3 dining rooms. Dine in the Gallery of Indeginous Art, the Lake Eyre room with it's stunning surround panorama of Lake Eyre or, feast with 'Tom Kruse' in the Tom Kruse Museum.
