Lake Leake Camping Reserve

Lake Leake is a lake within an extinct volcano; making up a part of the volcanic trail found in the Kanawinka Geopark and is located 5 kilometres away from Glencoe.

The lake and surrounding areas are open to visitors all year round. Tourists can come to enjoy fishing facilities, rowing, sailing, and skiing. Picnic facilities, toilets, and a barbecue is available on-site.

Boat launching facilities are also found here, although it’s used by an aquatic club occasionally.

From the barbecue area, it’s highly recommended to take a scenic walk through the left-hand route for the best views of the crater lake.

From Lake Leake, visitors can also easily access other popular tourist attractions nearby; including Lake Edward, Mt Muirhead, and Mt Macintyre.

To get here from Mount Gambier, drive along Millicent Road towards Glencoe. Turn right when you see the sign that says Glencoe, then turn and follow the signs.
