Kentish Park camp ground is located on the eastern short of picturesque Lake Barrington, famed for use as an international rowing course. 

This site provides a rugged experience without toilets or showers. There are no fire pots, as such fires are not permitted. Please ensure that you take all rubbish with you. 

Kentish Park camp ground is owned by the Kentish Council and in managed collaboratively with Hydro Tasmania - we provide the boat ramp and pontoons to help you get out on the water. This is part of our commitment to support local communities and councils to provide recreation facilities. 

This campsite is located on the shores of Lake Barrington which is an operational hydropower storage, which means that the water levels can change often

Kentish Park is a beautiful staggered multi-site camp area overlooking (for many sites) the lake itself. There are no fire pits and fires are prohibited, but that doesn't stop too many. In the off-season, it's a very quiet place to camp, and in the cooler months there are hardly any power boats during the day. If you require phone signal, there is none - at all - on either Optus or Telstra. There is no TV reception further down the hill. All in all, highly recommended.

Beautiful campground beside the lake. Many level sites on the side of a steep hill. Peaceful when we where there but may get busy with ski boats in the summer. Lots of Birdlife.
