There is something for all ages and interests in the Coorong. The serenity, the sheer diversity, and the proximity to Adelaide make it an immensely popular park. Visitors come for bird watching, boating, kayaking, fishing, camping, walking, four-wheel driving and European and cultural history.

The Coorong is also a wetland of international importance, supporting many significant and endangered flora and fauna.

The campground offers partial shade sheltered by trees. Camp sites overlook the Coorong Lagoon and are accessible by 2WD. Access 2WD and 4WD. Suitable for caravans, camper trailers, tents. Facilities, long-drop toilet, boat launch, picnic area, disabled parking. Campfires not allowed. Number of campsites, 7 allocated campsites. Unpowered.

Several campsites separated by low scrub, with some overlooking the estuary. Toilets are 1km away at the picnic area. The campsite is part-way along the 7km Parnka Ngoppen loop walk around the peninsula whichis highly recommend
