Barcoo Weir - QLD RVFT

Private Campground - Queensland

Please note: Council has made the decision to close all camping grounds within the region until further notice as a precautionary measure due to their location and the expected rain 10 May 2022.

This is a great camp area located in town, but you're camped on the banks of the Barcoo River. You pay the small fee of $3 per day or $15 per week at the council chambers.

There are toilets and hot showers located behind the council chambers.

At the camp site, there is flushing toilets, power, dump point and water.

Any size rig can fit here, it's very large.

This is a lovely site by the river. It is a short walk to the main street of town. The toilets are located on the top of the hill just above the river. They are well maintained. There is also potable water and a dump point near the toilets. There are garbage bins scattered around. The showers are in the park in town which is about a 5 minute walk away from the toilet block. There did not appear to be any power outlets. The staff at the Shire office were very helpful. We were not asked to make any payment and could not find any receptical in which to place a donation.

Great friendly town that loves the tourists coming. Great campsite, plenty of room, potable water, flushing toilets and dump point near the entrance. Pay at Cafe in town hot showers in the park in town. Pub is very friendly and has great meals
