This free camping area is located on the banks of the Murray River. It is large and offers plenty of shade if desired. There is a boat ramp located here and boating, swimming and fishing is a must do when staying here. There are no facilities here but dogs are allowed.

Lovely bush camping spot right on the river. The road in is tar for a bit, then a good gravel road. Follow the sign left to the boat ramp. It looks like its just a bush track, but it was OK for our Esperance. Follow the track to the river. There's a few good flat spots and you couldn't be any closer to the river. The boat ramp is flooded right now, so you can't go across to reach the camping on the other side. There are toilets available a short walk away near the lock keepers house. There is no camping allowed near the lock keepers house.
