At Kinbombi Falls there are picnic and camping facilities next to a large waterfall, gorge and rocky creek. Rock-wallabies can be seen on local cliffs, particularly around twilight hours. Here you will find fantastic photo opportunities and wildlife & birds galore.
The camping area is spacious with toilets, picnic tables, fireplaces, BBQ facilities and some mobile phone coverage.
Camping area very dry and remote. Falls hard to get to and very small amount of water.
There has been extensive improvements done to this site by the Gympie Regional Council. Couple of new photos attached.
Very popular spot but clean and level areas for vans. Toilets clean. Walks are quite steep. Quiet and we enjoyed our night there.
Very nice quiet area, deep gorge, with only pools in dry weather.
This is a moderately sized camp spot removed from the roadway. Can be dusty in the dry times. There is sparse shade but most sites are level. Some interesting walks but I am yet to see the falls actually with water running.
Excellent camping stop, three Bush walks, shade, toilets, flat clean and tidy.
Awesome meals at the local pub too
Like it very much, piece-full with lovely surroundings.
Compared to some other locations this is a real gem, nice shady level spots, a toilet, that yes you have to walk down a few steps to get to, but it is clean and flushes....and you have the small town of Goomeri not far away.. where you can pay to stay at the showground if that is more your thing.
