Paddys River Flat

Free Camping - New South Wales

This camping area is along side Paddys River and has a road through the flat area and up the hill and past the toilet block. A disabled toilet plus a washing up area with hot water is part of the toilet facilities but no showers. A rubbish skip is provided. Signage requests that fires be in above ground fire buckets. This is a beautiful location with sunny hot days in summer but cool nights. Heavy frost can be expected in winter. There is no TV reception and zero to limited phone signal. The town of Tumbarumba is 18km west of this site and dump point is located there. Camping available for 5 days and then a permit is required from the Visitor Information Centre for a further four weeks. The river is constant and musical and great activity area. Fish are sometimes caught.

An amazing camp site and very popular in summer. The facilities are well looked after by the Council and the town welcomes travellers. Love the butcher shop and bakery and in fact the town has everything you could want. Level ground and lots of shady trees. The river is good to cool off in during summer but can be very cold. The Snowy Mountain area is a fabulous place to visit with other camping areas just like this one. A great place to base yourself and go sightseeing.
