This free overnight Rest Area is set off the old highway (now bypassed with the opening of the Hunter Expressway) with a wall of trees to provide a noise barrier and is also a little complicated to gain access from the Expressway now as well.
It has a patchy bitumen then gravel surface. It isn't very big but it is a drive through layout.
It has two picnic tables and 2 fireplaces / BBQ's need to bring your own wood.
There are no flat areas really and you will be on a slight slope so level chocks would be great.

We were here early February 2017
All facilities have been removed and most of the surface bulldozed. We found some flat area for the night
