Conargo is a small town you could drive through without a second thought but they have an amazing modern recreation ground which contains the free camp site. The town is rich in history which is displayed on plaques nearby the camp site (see photos). The camp site is level granite base with three designated sites but plenty of room for less formal camping. You do need to be self contained.
