Bowenville Reserve Camp Area

Free Camping - Queensland

This is popular place to camp and do some fishing as there is a boat ramp here as well. The boat ramp is very steep and is not sealed so recommend a 4WD when launching your boat.

Located on the banks of the Oakey Creek, you will find lots of shade to camp under. This is a large, flat rest area that has toilets, picnic tables and fires are permitted in designated areas away from the creek.

Tip: Set up on the higher ground located near the toilets as down by the creek can become very boggy after rain due to the black soil.
We stayed here for a couple of days, so much room for so many and very popular. Local pub does a 'pig on a spit' second Saturday of the month, beautiful meal. A smell from the local feed lot occasionally blew across.

Awesome place. Lots of room for everyone. Quiet. There is no drinking water.

Great quiet spot with loads of room. Well maintained toilets. Level sites

Still a good free site with huge flat grassed area suitable for large motor homes. The only concern here is do NOT park on any “dirt” areas if rain is expected as this is black soil country as evidence shows the results where people have been bogged previously. Still enough room for 50 RV’s.

Great spot. Very quiet. Bowenville has only a hotel / pub.

Brilliant stop over for a night or two, large spacious flat grassed area with mobile reception, toilet and some tables. Bowenville is approx 24klms south east of Dalby.

About 25 acres of camping so no need to crowd everyone. Large area with no trees but some shade available. Be warned about parking on black soil down by the creek if it rains you will be stuck for 24hrs.
