We stayed for a week on a powered site in May. This is a very large park which is currently a construction site as they build new cabins and renovate the sites and grounds. It’s a Big 4 so there are children’s playground facilities. There is one older/existing ablution block with a well equipped laundry and kitchen. There are two brand new large toilet blocks on the grounds and two new large camp kitchens to die for. There are new slab sites at the rear of the cabins and they have new landscaping and are on open ground, not under trees. There are many other sites on grass/sand and the park extends to the water where the sites are under heavy tree foliage. I don’t like my caravan under trees so we were happy to be on a new slab site in the open. Overall we found it casual and roomy. When the construction work is finished I think this park will be fabulous based on the new work we have seen all around us. But it will be more ‘organised’ so lose some of its present charm. Get in now before the change happens. There are midges at dusk and dawn. Not as voracious as some places but they will get you if you are out and not protected.

Lovely spacious grounds. Well kept and quiet - at least in early spring! Midges are hungry ??

New unisex toilets and kitchen down the back where the unpowered sites are, are amazing. If you are self contained with solar I would recommend the unpowered sites, lots more room and in my opinion much nicer and better facilities.

Very busy at Easter. Lots of powered and unpowered sites suitable for the biggest of rigs. Boat ramp. Small town of Rainbow Beach close by with IGA shopping and fuel etc. Clean amenities. Friendly staff. Well maintained grounds. Right on Tin Can Inlet. Fishing, boating and crabbing. Bring insecticide midgees, horse flies and mossies. Fires allowed in braziers.
