Proston is located 280 kilometres north-west of the state capital, Brisbane, and is a small, friendly country town with a population of just 500 people. 

Proston District Golf Club offers RV travellers a fantastic accommodation option. There is no cost to stay at their site; however, donations to the club are encouraged. Visitors can negotiate their length of stay and access to toilets, showers, bins barbecues and water is available. Pets on a lead are welcome. 

For a refreshing drink, look no further than the golf club itself. The bar is open most days from 5pm. If you’re looking to explore the area, a visit to Boondooma Dam is a must. This major tourist destination is only 17 kilometres from town and is an excellent fishing spot.

Cost: Nil charge but donations recommended to Golf Club

Parking: Negotiable stay limit, pets on lead, mobile phone coverage, showers, bins, toilets, BBQ, water, covered seating, room for up to 30 vehicles.

Opening Hours: Bar open most days from 5pm – 8pm or as required

For a small club with only 20 active members they provide country hospitality at its best.Stayed on a Friday night as to play a social nine holes of golf snd was informed that they had meals on that night the only day club opens. A great meal done by the volunteers and enjoyed the peanut ice cream. They have haf grants to do up the kitchen and dining area whick look great. Will cater for latge groups of campers if advised. Amenities are basic but overall will return on a Friday night.
