Please note, this site is not accessible after rain.
This is a large, fairly basic, campsite on the Gwydir river, not far from Yarrowyck. This site is usually well maintained, but can get a little long after some rain. It is well worth doing some exploring around the river here. You will find two previous bridges, one made of large granite boulders fitted together in the creek bed. Most of these are still in place and is testament to "old fashioned craftsmanship". The other bridge is an old concrete causeway which seems to be getting washed away faster than the granite one. Just up the road from here is Yarrowyck Nature Reserve which has an easy loop walk on which you can see some aboriginal rock art.
