Jones Creek Bridge

Free Camping - New South Wales

Simple little free camp located directly on the river. Not much room and no facilities available.  Self contained vehicles only.

Shady green spots on the river bank, very peaceful. 48hr limit for self-contained only. Can swim in river but it is fast flowing. 6km drive to nearest toilets.

While this is a great grassy level spot be aware that it is very popular so if you don’t get a suitable site early in the day you may miss out. It is not a huge site and it is also popular with the locals. While there is a 48hr time limit it seems some people are a bit reluctant to go. When talking to a couple of locals they said it is a waste of time coming here during holiday times as there will most likely be no room. When we were here there were 10 RV’s and it was more like a Caravan Park. There are no facilities here so you have to be self contained. The area is maintained by a local chap who keeps the place mowed and supplied with firewood. Donations are requested for the upkeep.

This is a no facility free camp available for self contained vehicles only. On the banks of the Tumut River where there is good trout fishing. 48 hour stay only. Small area suitable for maybe three vehicles.

Great spot by the river there are two sides that you can park on plenty of room for self contained RV’s although I think we were the only one that was , donations appreciated thanks.
