Centrally located in West Kempsey, the Kempsey Showground is the perfect place to stay for the keen camper.

We provide you with powered or unpowered sites with plenty of room to park up for the night or set the pegs deep while you explore the Macleay Valley.

Our facility includes security gates and amenities with sites to cater for a single vehicle through to large RV's and motorhomes. Drive though access to sites for people towing caravans.

Visitors can stay a maximum of 21 consecutively days (4 days for tents) and a total of 50 days per year.

Camping fees $20 per site, per night (includes up to two people), $5.00 for each additional person.

Fees include power, water and use of serviced amenities.

Access to the Camping grounds is between 7.30am and 6.30pm.

Caretaker on site who comes around to collect fees. Gates are locked from 1830 to 0700 but if arriving late the caretakers phone number is displayed. On payment of fees you receive the codes for the main gate and showers. Toilets are not locked. Showers have almost no space or facilities to hang your clothes. An adequate stop over.

This is a pleasant surprise given the reputation Kempsey has. Sites are mostly level and power and water at each site and a mixture of grass and blue metal surface. No grey water to be disposed of to the ground. Only stayed one night but no problem. You must book ahead, comply with all Covid rules current and caretaker is just to the right as you enter the grounds. Currently it is a cash only payment.

Very clean amenities although shower bit small with nowhere to hang clothes, not expensive plenty of room and would definitely stay again.

A great showground. Can stay a long time if you want. Toilets and showers are good. Gates are locked overnight to keep the riff raff out. Easy access in and out, comfortable walk to shops. Large sites available for big rigs. Like most Showgrounds first in best dressed. Caretaker in on site and very helpful.

As per last comment...great Showgrounds stay, Caretaker excellent, cash only still, amenities spotless if you need them, power and water, but hold waste water and use dump point, conveniently located near gate in the way out. Great stopover for the price..
