Glendon Camping Grounds

Private Campground - Queensland

Are you looking for bush camping with a difference? Does a spot of fossicking, fishing, swimming, canoeing or just plain relaxing sound good to you? Well, you will find it all here at Glendon Camping Grounds.

It is located 38kms west of Warwick on the Cunningham Highway located on 1600 acres running alongside the Thanes Creek.

Not only do they have the above, other activities to partake in include 4X4 tracks, dirt bikes, quad bikes, 9 hole golf course, bird watching, bush walking, swimming in the dam and gold panning.

Your camping options include powered and unpowered sites. They also have on-site caravans with their own stone fireplace available. Each camp site is large with your own stone fireplace with BBQ plate which is also suitable for camp oven cooking.

The amenities include flushing toilets, hot showers (wood fired) and tap water.  We welcome dogs on leads at all times in the camping areas.

Some restrictions on generator use apply.

Sites are large and level with easy access. We were on a river flat under shade trees. The grounds are quite run down with wash outs and could benefit from a bit of gravel on the roads. The fire pits had been removed when we were there. The facilities are basic, but Ok but the showers looked dirty. There is gold fossicking on the large holding, but bring a pick as the ground is very rocky.
