Barkala Farm and Pilliga Pottery

Farm Stay - New South Wales

Turn off the Newell Highway at GPS -31.092143, 149.383432 on Borambitty Road, then turn right on Dandry Road at GPS -31.080388, 149.336799 and follow until you reach the farm.

Barkala Farm is a family owned and operated business.  It is the home of the Barkala Farmstay, Pilliga Pottery and Blue Wren Cafe.

Barkala Farm is the home of Pilliga Pottery,  creators of unique pottery featuring Australian native flora and fauna.

The Blue Wren Cafe serves delicious home made foods.  Enjoy some on the daily baked scones, cakes and bread with coffee or tea; or have a full German meal or wood fired pizza. The taste and the atmosphere will keep you coming back for more.

There is a large range of accommodation at the farmstay. The range includes camping and a beautiful range of self contained accommodation: eagle valley, the farmhouse, the studio, the poets cottage and the old schoolhouse.

Amenities include hot showers, toilet, farm animals, walking tracks and the use of the inground salt water swimming pool.

Important: do not trust your GPS to get to the farm, it likes to take people down a dead end dirt road.  Follow the Newell Highway and look for the brown tourist signs to Pilliga Pottery or follow the instructions above.
