Blackbutt Showgrounds Camp Area

Show Ground - Queensland

Blackbutt showground offers travellers toilets, showers and a toilet dump, as well as an on-site cafe.

The Blackbutt Showgrounds are available to camping and caravans during the year and all stays under 14 days are permitted. We work on a self-registration system and ask that visitors complete the following steps before setting up camp:

1. On arrival at the Blackbutt Showgrounds make your way through the main entrance and find a suitable site. The Showgrounds are equipped with many power outlets and water connection is also available. Alternatively, you can select a site and choose no power.

2. Make your way to the self-registration station. This is located up from the toilet and shower block and in the covered walkway. The station has a timber bench, a timber box containing the camping registration forms and a slot in the wall to receive the envelope and your payment.

3. Complete the camping self-registration envelope and include your payment.

4. Detach the campsite tag and attach to your campsite.

5. Place the envelope in the slot in the wall.

Camped here Feb 2017 with our Chapter. There has been considerable improvements here since our last visit. Grounds were immaculate, lots more power points and toilets and showers were very clean. Grounds do slope slightly but we found plenty of room to get most relatively level.

Good help from caretaker with slow puncture. Nice people good stopover

Level sites are hard to find. Fairly small shopping area with a Grocery Store, Bakery, Pub & a Cafe.

Great spot for a layover plenty of room good amenities short walk to town

Typical showground campsite for a small town. Facilities were adequate. We turned up as a group of about eight and with the caretakers permission camped down behind the ring where the area is more level. The site is within walking distance of the main street.

This Showgrounds also takes dogs.
