Located between St George and Mitchell in south west Queensland is Begonia Farmstay. It is a 14000 acre beef cattle grazing property.  Come by road or by light plane. There is a lot for visitors to do. Pitch in with the farm work, explore the farm by foot, bike or car. Walk along the the Maranoa River which runs along the eastern boundary. Bring your binoculars and go bird watching or keep a keen eye out for the many other forms of wildlife.

Make your campfire by night and watch the sun go down and the stars light the sky.

Accommodation includes:

  • Self contained cottage, sleeps 4
  • Self contained dormitory style quarters, sleeps up to 8
  • Bunkhouse style quarters, sleeps up to 6
  • Caravan and RV sites
  • Bush camping
There are many places where you can site your caravan, RV, tent or swag at Begonia.  There are several level and powered sites up near the main accommodation which have access to water, showers, toilets and the laundry.
There are also other non serviced sites scattered around the main part of the property where you can truly get away from it all.  Camp along the banks of the Maranoa, in one of home paddocks or further afield.  There is plenty of room on the 14000 acres to choose from.
Staying at Begonia is a great opportunity for caravanners, campers and the nomads to catch up with friends in a very restful spot on your way north from St George or coming back down south from Mitchell and Roma.
