Imagine calm still water, surrounded by tall trees. Wooden steps lead from the river bank down into the cool water. This is Yarragil.
With only two campsites, Yarragil is the smallest campground on the Murray River in Lane Poole. It is ideal for families but is not suited to large groups or large vehicles. It is also a busy day use area, and is particularly popular with canoeists and swimmers. It is a good entry point for canoeists setting out on the 11.5-kilometre journey to Nanga Road Bridge.
With steps leading down inot the water, swimming at Yarragil is a pleasant summer past time. Beware of submerged logs when swimming in the river.
Camping
You need to book your Yarragil campsite. Bookings need to be made online before your arrive. There are two campsites at Yarragil:

Site 2: this is a tent site that can cater for up to five people and one vehicle.
