Toongi Hall Camp ground is at the end of a driveway off Obley Road, 26km south of Dubbo.
Cost is $10 per night, donation box is at the site near the toilets, no need to pre book, just turn up and select your spot
This large grassy camping area has several large trees for shade and is next to the hall in the small village of Toongi. Beside the hall there are 3 tennis courts. There is no TV reception and mobile phone can only be received if you have an aerial and using Broadband (which is probably a good thing)
Facilities include : Picnic tables : Toilets : Water : Dogs are OK : Suitable for all sized caravans and tents.
Toongi Hall is a community facility run by volunteers. There is a donation box near the toilet facilities, your donation of $10 helps the community maintain these facilities and would be appreciated. Place in the container at the front of the amenities block. This camping area is provided for ‘shorts stays’ of a couple of days and is not intended for long term residence. The Toongi Hall committee welcome all obliging campers and retain the right to request a move on notice if required.
From the Newell Highway/Mitchell Highway roundabout on the western side of the Macquarie River in Dubbo, travel south along the Newell Highway, past the golf course then turn left onto Obley Road (Western Plains Zoo entrance road). Continue along Obley Road for 22 kilometres, go past Toongi Road for 200 metres then turn left at the driveway to the Toongi Hall.
